Upon release most returning citizens have few resources at their disposal. Most do not have financial resources and many do not have a high level of formal education or any solid job prospects. Connecting people to community based programs that provide housing, transportation, employment, substance misuse and/or mental health treatments are critical for successful reentry. It is essential that returning citizens have mentors in their lives—who can be a much needed positive influence.
Through collaborative programming with correctional facilities, Reentry Ready provides mentoring to high risk individuals 6 months prior and 6 months after their release from incarceration. We provide one on one and group mentoring to meet individual criminological needs for successful reintegration. Reentry Ready’s program goals are to reduce risks of recidivating, to keep our communities safer and to save tax payers money.
